On Friday, January 6, 2012 over 1,200 drivers were stopped at the intersection of Alondra Boulevard and Woodruff Avenue. As a result of the check point, people were not only arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but were also arrested for possession of narcotics, and driving either no license or a suspended license.

This is just one of many DUI check points to come for 2012. Police officers are not just trying to catch drunk drivers, so don’t give them an excuse to stop you.  Always be prepared to show police officers documentation such as your driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance. However, if there is any reason why you don’t have any of those documents on you, you may want to consider turning your around and avoid driving through the check point.
